Gas/Electric for closed commercial property - 6 to 12 months
Discussion
Hi guys,
Strange one this. I've had a small commercial property investment for about 10 years but I've never paid an electric bill on it as I bought it with a tenant in situ and now they've gone bust with the Covid/cost of living increases.
So the bills are going in my holding company name until we get a tenant.
I'm doing a refurb on the unit as we might get planning permission to convert the upstairs into a 1 bed but I'll need to move the stairs/rip out some walls first.
I've got builders ready to go but with planning permission elays I might be looking at 6-12 months.
Anything I should look out for when going to price comparison sites and are there any recommended routes to go down and what to look for in getting a good deal?
