I seem to have seen a lot of this recently, I guess it's just going to grow...yesterday driving my motorhome in the environs of Croydon was waiting at a T junction to turn left. Yooves in a beaten up car coming up behind at some speed that I thought they were going to rear-end me, but no, they overtook coming within inches of the van turning into the road, turned left in front of me without stopping, went on the rhs of the bollard on the main road and drove off to the lights which were red and they went through. I assume they don't care about the consequences of crashing and/or being nicked.

Recently on a packed three lane motorway all lanes moving at about 50, someone dove onto the hard shoulder to undertake and managed to swerve back out missing the car stopped on the hard shoulder by a matter of feet.

On another motorway occasion (m40 again), had the most tailgating of flashing tailgaters up my backside, felt like literally inches away, I pulled back, they went by, no big deal, but three cars further up someone took exception, brake tested the tailgater then super aggressively blocked the tailgater swerving across the lanes so to do getting up to pretty high speeds as they disappeared into the distance. Made all the normal aggressive lane changing to undertake that you see look safe and normal!

Is this as a result of all the people doing this on youtube? Is it just me? Must get a dashcam for fun just to record the madness!

No idea why I am posting this biggrin

There are essentially no* police, out policing any longer. Very much whatchagonnadoaboutit - the chances of being spotted and then aprehended must be astonishingly low.

  • yes I know there are police, but they're not oft to be seen patrolling
