Classic car mechanic in Surrey

I need to get the clutch sorted on my Triumph Herald and might need recovering as its stuck away from home at a friends place, would anyone know a good reliable and trusted mechanic near Guildford, Surrey

Try Hardy Engineering in Leatherhead 01372 378927. They've done some work on my Herald albeit a type 9 gearbox, they know there way round classic cars

There's Winspeed at Wood Street Village, they're mostly into Jags but know classic cars.

What's wrong with the clutch - as the gearbox is ment to comes out from inside the car, rather than drop out below you might be able to fix it yourself or get a mobile mechanic to do it (so saving a chunk on recovery costs).

I think the nearest Triumph specialise would be JY Classics over High Wycombe way.

These guys are good at this sort of stuff and he builds things like mk1 escorts and Cortinas so knows the older stuff they mainly do transmission work located Slyfield Guildford close to Ford and the Calor centre
