Classiest looking cars on sale?
Discussion
Funny you should post the question just now as in the past hour or so I've been perusing S Series Bentleys on c&c, an utterly pointless exercise but I don't care - have a shuftie at this '63 S3 Continental Flying Spur...

I'm struggling to think of anythign modern which hits the same spot.
PH : old farts looking forlornly at old fart's cars matters

Volvo are doing it right at the moment, inside and out. Somehow, they've managed to nail 'premium' without obviously trying too hard or overdoing it like the Germans have been for some time now. No gaping 'top to bottom' grilles, no lashings of chrome, no "sporty" bodykits or addenda to draw attention. They look like a quality item, but quietly so. A bit like Saab used to back in the day.

S90 and V90 are a great shout actually!
I would say a standard 2.0 petrol Alfa Romeo Giulia - not the full on QF, GTA and obviously not the diesel for obvious reasons.
It’s not one of the Germans
It’s not too big, not too small
Looks good but saloon which as we know is classy.
Could be easily parked in Bradford or Florence.
It’s not as good looking as the 159 but what’s on sale just now it’s the most classy.

To me it is already too much of a 'squinty-eyes, agressive face' design to be really classy

I never get the appeal of these.Sure, the body shape is OK, however the shrunken wheelbase, jacked up ride height, and tiny wheels with balloon tyres make it look very awkward.
By contrast, the 246 Dino and previous generation 308 look in keeping with their era and underpinnings.
Its like they took the platform that they had, and put on a sci-fi body with a massive duct, and hoped it would work ........ which pretty much is what they did ........ and work, it didn't.
