ad blue mapped out?

ive owned an x5 3.0d f15 for just under a year and i havent topped up ad blue once

the idrive adblue capacity has stayed the same for the duration of my ownership

im guessing this is not normal as one of my last cars a vw tiguan required a few topups in a year

is it possible that the adblue has been mapped out

and if it has does that mean my car would have probably had a perfomance remap also as from what i understand they go hand for hand

has it been serviced? may have been topped up as part of the service
Also IIRC AD Blue isn't 'on' all the time. Depends on driving style, so I think long journeys and motorway stuff limits its use, and therefore doesn't get used as quickly.

I had a 2018 740d from 2500 miles (ex demo so not mapped etc) and did about 20k miles in it over 2 years. I didn’t put any adblue in it although the distance remaining indicator did reduce (but nowhere near accurately).

I had a 2015 Audi A8 previously which like your experience, needed filling with adblue every few months.

I think they just don’t use much, I wouldn’t worry!
