Is there a way to unwatch a specific user or topic?

I have favorited the Engines and Drivetrain forum. There's a lot of interesting stuff there.
There is also a '4-Stroke Redesigned' topic posted by somebody called Feliks. He is a prolific poster who posts uninformed nonesense on a regular basis. I'm getting increasingly irritated by it and have no interest in seeing any of his posts ever again, but practically every visit to Pistonheads leaves this rubbish in my What's New view.
I get that I can choose not to click that link. But the whole point of favorites and the What's New view in my opinion is that it shows me new stuff that is interesting to me. I want to systematically exclude this rubbish from my daily Pistonheads experience. Please help me do that.

What's New shows you everything since your last visit, not just stuff that is interesting to you. You can remove the topic from your My Stuff, but it'll continue to show up in What's New. Best I can suggest is to use the My Stuff area for all your topics and click the X to the right which will remove it from the My Stuff area. As mentioned, the topic will still appear in "What's New" if it's been updated recently. I use the X facility to unfollow topics I've contributed to on My Stuff that I've lost interest in.

How would Whats New be able to know what is interesting to you? It isn't profiling you based on the content of threads you have viewed or commented in.There is also a '4-Stroke Redesigned' topic posted by somebody called Feliks. My Stuff shows threads you have posted in, however you only need to click the small cross [x] on the far right to remove a topic from the list.
