Birmingham Airport car park 7

Hello good folk of the Midlands! I hope this thread manages to stay a while here rather than banished to the travel section…

My wife works in Worcester but commutes by air to/from Birmingham International Airport.

Up until about a month ago she parked at Car Park 7 every Fri-Mon however it no longer seems to be available to book on the Airport’s website (you can input dates but it only returns results for car parks 1-5, which are eye wateringly expensive)

Anyone else here used Car Park 7 lately? Or know cheaper but safe reliable alternatives?

You could always try the train station car park & catch the Skyrail across if that's cheaper? - I did it a few times when needing to get to Edinburgh or Glasgow for work commitments.

I always used the train station carpark also, but not beeen allowed back to travelling since COVID so not sure what availability is like now

Price has gone up a bit from what I can see, but only by £2 for a day from what I remember, I never booked just turned up but might be better to book now

It is kind of perverse that the cost to park for a few days is more than an airline ticket.

Can confirm the station car park has good availability, used it last month for 3 days, there's limited advance booking but it was only £24 per day and I paid by card at the barrier, no messing with tickets. 6 am Monday to 11:30pm Wednesday counted as only two days.

Maybe there is an issue with your specific dates? Maintenance work or similar? Or maybe just full?

I've just put in Sept 12th - 15th (picked random dates) and car park 7 is there.

Strangely though when I put those same dates into the official Airport car parking booking webpage, car park 7 is NOT there.

And the cheapest parking available is Car Park 5, at £113.

Have you asked BHX why it's not visible? They're usually active on Twitter and other social media. Or ask NCP?
