EQB charging cable in car storage?

Is there no where under the floor to store them? That's where most manufacturers expect people to put them.
Seems a daft place to keep something you will probably need (charging cable) as opposed to something you may need (spare?) which requires emptying the boot, dog may not mind but if it is full of stuff? It's a shared platform with non-EV Merc cars so perhaps that is why there isn't a convenient dedicated space? I normally keep mine in the front trunk but I understand that's not a thing on the EQ line-up of cars either. It's a shame they couldn't at least provide a bag to store the cable and hook in the trunk space or similar. Bit of an oversight really..
No special charging place in ours, just the storage bag that then sits loose in the boot. The 3rd row of seats doesn't help as it makes the underfloor storage area too small.
In Europe and the US, you can delete the 3rd row but it seems it's not an option in the UK for some reason, hence no space for a spare wheel either!
BTW, would be interested to hear if you are using scheduling on your wall charger (if you have one) and if it works OK. I'm currently have conversations with Mercedes tech support and our charger manufacturer to see why it won't work for ours unless the car is left unlocked!

Agree, should be to the side in the boot if its a converted car where no front storage.TheRainMaker said:
My business partner has an EQB, it's fantastic but the cable storage is rubbish, his is always floating around the boot with nowhere to go.
If you want a giggle open the bonnet, you would think it has an ICE fitted

That's quite pitiful isn't it!If you want a giggle open the bonnet, you would think it has an ICE fitted

And all that kit mounted so high starts to negate the superior weight placement EV's can offer.

That’s not generally the case at all, bit of a cliche regurgitation by all accounts. Depends largely on the integration of power electronics and even where the charger is and then of couple the vehicle proportions, particularly front overhang and indeed if they actually want one.
Unless the BMW iX isn’t a dedicated BEV platform and the CMF Volvo platform isn’t but has a frunk?
