Driving other cars?
Discussion
The three names that keep coming up in TVR insurance seem to be Sunninghill, Mannings & Cheam Insurance Brokers. I have not arranged my insurance as yet, does anyone have the name of a person at each firm that is sympathetic to our cause (Do not want to fit Tracker)
Do any of you PH nutters out there who are insured with any of these brokers get the "driving other cars" bit included on your insurance. I accept that if you own a Chim you should not want to drive someone else's car but looking out my window that that is currently showing the classic movie "Gales and P*****g rain" I may well need to!
Many thanks to you all in advance

Hello,
Direct Line only give discounts on Trackers in cars worth over 30k and in fact insist that all cars priced at 30k or above have Trackers in my area.
I thought I was doing well with my insurance until I called Manning and saved myself £850 - although I believe that I am now only covered for the Cerb and not any car as before with Direct Line.

The only issue you'll have with Mannings is if you don't have a history of performance car ownership - you need to have driven relatively fast cars before for at least 12 months - not a bad condition to keep the risk/costs down if you ask me. (my ex Alfa Giulietta & Saab 900 didn't count, to give you some idea). After 12 months of Tiv ownership, you're IN, and your insurance can become very cheapo indeedy
esp with limited miles. Cheers, Chris
