Celebrating the deaths of Russians?

Reading the Russia invasion thread I cant help but be repulsed by the celebration and joyful posting with regards to the deaths of Russians be they soldiers or most recently civilian's.

Despite the emotions felt towards the Russian leadership for the invasion should we really be celebrating the deaths of other human beings regardless of our political or ideological ideals and our objections to the war.

If this sort of behaviour and posting was targeting any other demographic or race there would be very swift and very powerful banning of posters in any self respecting online discussion forum.

Maybe one for the Conspiracy theory thread that if your government is in a proxy war with another country then this sort of Xenophobia is allowed as part of the propaganda machine just as long as it is only directed at the enemy.

If we truly believe we are better then we should try to act better.

AFAIK we haven’t had many reports of this type and as most forums are reactively moderated (PH gets lots of posts each day) it’s impossible to see every post and act accordingly.
