Help to buy parts for a Skoda car in India
Discussion
So my 2016 Skoda Rapid has a driveshaft leak from the axle. The Skoda dealer in India is asking to replace the right driveshaft at a rate of £650.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy from here and take it there in flight luggage?
The VIN of the car is TMBBUGNA8GG015323.
As a preventative measure I'm planning to replace other parts as well, like arms, suspension mounting, struts, springs, etc.
The part number of driveshaft is 6RF407766 which I'm unable to find exactly in the UK. Could you please tell the exact parts to be replaced along with this and help me find those parts online with part numbers?

Is the leak coming from the gearbox or the CV joint? If it's the gearbox then they need to look at the oil seal or output shaft as one of these will be causing the issue and not the driveshaft.
The dealer service team has only said to replace driveshaft in their estimate for work. I'm thinking of replacing rear of the components too. Hence the doubt, what all ...Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
