Last weekend I was driving back from Austria, and my route happened to go straight past the Nurburgring.

Has anyone tried to do a quick lap of the Ring in a DeLorean? I don't know, so I thought I'd be the first to try.

Made a film about my efforts - link here!

Why is a link not allowed in the OP?

Was looking forward to watching that!

And no one’s asked the Delorean question - what speed did you get up to?

Yes - that's the video! No idea why the link got censored the first time?!

And as for what speed I got up to - about 120mph at the bottom of foxhole. Would have been the same at Schwedenkreuz but had to lift to let the Exige past. They've flattened the blind crest there in recent years which makes it a little less terrifying!

I saw you there! 20th/21st? I was in a TVR Tuscan.

Fun car, looks like you enjoyed it.

Yes it was a great crack! Was there 20th/21st and also the weekend a couple of weeks previous.

I saw your Tuscan too - lovely car. Did you take it round?

Yeah, I took the Tuscan out on the Nordschleife and on the GP track, done a little write up of my own below;

Far from the perfect 'ring tool'! But I expect similarly to you, I had a load of fun and good chats about the car with lots of nice people all weekend.
