Lumbar support switch not working on DB9 GT

One of the lumber support rocker switches on the drviers seat on my 2016 DB9 GT is broken. It looks like the seat will have to be removed to fix it and it doesn't look possible to simply buy a replacenet rocker switch, only a complete switch pack assembly for ~£200.

Anyone got advice on how to remove the seat and source a replacement rocker switch?

When you say 'broken', do you mean it's been smashed or is it simply not providing electrical supply? One of the lumbars does not work on my car, but it's the bag itself (which I believe is not uncommon) rather than the electrics at fault.

The switch works in one direction - inflating, but not the other. When pressing it one way the pump works and the rocker returns to the middle position. However, when pressing the other side of the rocker, nothing happens. Just needs a new rocker switch probably, but I guess AM will only supply the complete assembly and I cannot see a way to replace the assembly without taking the seat out.

I've got a couple of old but working spare switches, which one do you need and are they the same as the 2009 DB9?

It is the middle switch on the left of the driver's seat. Big question is do these switches come out individually and how to remove them without damaging anything. I had a 2010 DB9 prior to buying the 2016 DB9 GT, the switches look identical so one from a 2009 DB9 should be fine.

Scuderia car parts only show the whole assembly at nearly £200 and this bolts to the side of the seat which makes it inaccessible without removing the seat.

The switch pack has two allen bolts securing it to the side so the seat does need to be removed, I've taken my switches out of the pack so they can be separated, do you need the upper or lower lumbar switch?

It is the middle switch which is the upper lumber switch.

How difficult is it to remove the seat?

Quite easy, lift the seat to its highest position, tilt the backrest as far forward as possible, slide the seat all the way back - 2 10mm bolts to remove, slide it all the way forward - 2 more bolts.

you should be able to now tilt the seat far enough back to remove the switch pack - if not disconnect the wiring and remove the seat - cover the metal parts of the frame with rags to stop damaging the interior when removing.

Many thanks for the advice. That doesn't sound too bad, Hopefully, tilting the seat outwards will provide enough room to get at the switch assembly.
