S2 Suspension question?
Discussion
What are the most common faults that occur form normal wear and tear?
I have a 3yr old S2 with 22k mileage owned from new. Have noticed a creaking through the steering column at low speeds. Upon investigation noted that when stationary pressure applied to the passenger side front wheel arch compresses the suspension and cause creaking noises like something is about to give, It seems it is not reseeting once pressure is removed, can be pulled up slightly.
First thought was worn shock but that doesnt control the recoil the spring does. Cant get to see any specialist until the weekend so though I would see if anyone in the ph community had experienced similar or could offer an educated guess so I can prepare for the worst or sleep easy in my bed tonight!
(Plus my poorly titled last post went unanswered)
Cheers in advance

Most common faults with Elise front suspension (S1 and S2) are the anti-roll bar bushes drying out and the ball joint gaiters splitting & then drying out. It's also possible for steering rack to wear (again, gaiters can split and let grease out/water in)
I wouldn't worry that it doesn't quite rebound when stationary, that's normal there is always some friction in the system.
Unfortunately it's quite tricky to find these things remotely, so having someone who knows the cars have a look is going to be best.

p.s. Check your wheelnuts are tight - dafter things have happened.

Have just seen two interesting items in the classifieds. First is a set of S2 Exige Bilstein Shocks adn second it says is a full 111R Suspension for the same price (doesnt specify what this consists of).
What is the standard S2 set up and would this be a simple swap or would further parts also need to be upgraded?
Cheers as ever Stuart
