F Type dash display failure/ error

Hi

The Mrs F-type intermittently loses the display between the speedo and the rev counter like below:



I've tried googling but can't seem to come up with anything (not sure if that is because I am using the wrong term for the display!)... has anyone seen this before? common fault?

It comes and goes, no real pattern as to when or how long... but is pretty annoying as it takes away quite a lot of information (like the fuel gauge!)

Any help would be much appreciated!

Negative terminal off the battery for ten seconds should reboot it , its not an unknown issue . My concern is the regularity that this seems to be happening . You mention its your partners car ? If the car is not being used regularly then I would guess its possibly a battery issue in which case you want a battery maintenance system installed .

Thanks, it is an intermittent issue, the car gets used a fair bit, small journeys and then a 70 mile round trip twice a week along with the odd 200 mile round trip every couple of weeks, so I assumed that the battery would be ok!

I don't know what the display is called so can't google it as most results tend to be for the big infotainment screen

Jaguar refer to it as the information panel
