Does anyone recommend a company other than AA or RAC to do a pre-purchase inspection in South London?

Thanks

Buy it online. Don't view it or collect it. Have it delivered to be specific ..you then have 14 days under consumer code 2015 for full refund return.

That gives you 2 weeks to find somewhere to inspect.

If you think because you have paid you have lost your haggling position, think again, it's even more if a strong position.

As a trader I would highly recommend the AA they are very thorough and do much higher standard inspections than any others. Clickmechanic can be wildly patchy. I had one guy come who literally just tested the lights were working.

Use a credit card to pay or part pay (between £100 and £30k) to get even more potential protection.

I had a pretty thorough inspection and report from Clickmechanic, but appreciate that it makes a difference who you get.
