I'm off for a brief tour of France in the Masser and am trying to source a sat nav disc for France.

The discs are made by "Navteq" (formally Navtech). And the Maserati ones are about £110 which is a lot for a 5 day trip!

DOes anyone know if these are universal, as you can pick up discs for other manufacturers cars for about £20 on e-bay - or do you need a Masser specific (or option 3 can it use Alfa / Fiat discs only?)

Or can anyone lend (rent) me the disc?

Maserati system uses CD's not DVD's so are region specific but contain major routes ie UK one has all UK detail and major motorways/roads for Europe. To get hte detail you will need to buy the appropriate CD.
