Cazoo - revaluing a car which is already booked in...
Discussion
I have a valuation with Cazoo and an appointment to drop off my car this week. I've noticed that, in the last few weeks, the valuation of my car has gone up and down - typically anywhere from £16,700 - £17,400 - but now with my car already booked in I'm unable to value it again.
Has anyone any experience or guidance with this situation? What I'm thinking of doing is...
Finding a similar car online, same owner/miles/spec/colour etc which isn't too hard and then getting a valuation each day this week. If I can see prices have risen then I'll cancel my appointment and then book in another valuation, then book another appointment. Fingers crossed the appointment I'd just cancelled would be still available if I try to rebook fast enough?
What do you reckon?

Fine a like for like model on auto trader. Plug it in with your cars mileage etc. If you get a better valuation, phone Cazoo and cancel. You'll immediately be able to enter your own registration and lock in the higher price.

Cheers! One step ahead and just did the same 5 mins ago...Friday's valuation was £16,900 and it's just gone to £17,175. Rebooked for the same slot!Fine a like for like model on auto trader. I'm not sure the valuation picks up the optional extras. I couldn't find a car anywhere close to being as well specced as mine and they're returning the same values, i.e. a bog standard, no option car is valued the same as mine. Mine has £2,000 worth of extras which don't see to alter the valuation. Seems odd.

They'd need the VIN for that. They're only interested in make/model/year/mileage unfortunately. I'm not sure the valuation picks up the optional extras. Spoke to them about it by phone. Basically there's no give in the price and no revaluation if I were to list options. I'm sure they'll be taking the options into account when they come to sell it though.I shouldn't moan. WBAC offered £15,000 and the best dealer offer was £16,000. Dealers generally responded with "rip Cazoo's arm off if that's what they're offering you". So it's off to Cazoo and a cash purchase elsewhere.
