Does anyone here use an app to route plan avoiding low bridges? I am 14 ft high to the roof before solar panels and a roof fan.

A truck satnav is an option but they seem to be quite expensive, just wondered if there was an alternative solution?

TIA

Mark

We have a Nozatec truck satnav for the motorhome, very cheap and does a good job

Many thanks and pleased to see yours works as Amazon reviews were less than kind! 22% gave it a terrible review.

Guessing that a similar dashmounted SatNav is probably the way to go rather than an iPhone app and will do a bit more research.

If you find an app let me know as I'd prefer that

Try road lords from the app store.

Let's you enter dimensions of your truck so should work. I've used it a few time for dragging the caravan and it seems to avoid the single track roads that Google maps insists you use to save 2 minutes.

Many thanks Dave, will try that one.

Two others worth mentioning for anyone else following this thread; CoPilot and Sygic. Sygic has a much higher rating of the two.

I find Sygic to be really poor, great features but it takes some really wierd routes sometimes.

I've got a Tom Tom Professional now, it was £220, but prior to that used Roadlords as mentioned above.

I have a Garmin Camper 660, it came with the motorhome when i bought it last year,

So far it hasn’t caused any problems so i guess is working.
