Vantage Front Brake Hose Renewal

So I need to replace one of the front brake hoses on my 2006 V8V, which looks like a simple enough job. However the manual states that a special alignment tool is needed, which obviously I don't have.

Has anyone done this job, and is the special tool really necessary (or is it just like any other brake hose replacement)?

It's pretty much the same as any other brake hose replacement and the special tool is to align the hose correctly at the caliper end.
If you take note of the installed position of the existing one before you remove it and align the replacement the same, you will be fine.
