I just bought a "pre-cherished" Jeep and when I got it home I found only the first bit of the exhaust was actually there.

The build manual that I got from Jago does not mention where to buy a new one from, so I assume they will sell me one. I would prefer to buy one locally from a general exhaust dealer, but I don't know which bits I need. I assume they are all standard Ford parts but which ones do I get? Any help would be much appreciated by this frustrated newbie.

Thanks in advance

i to am doing my exhaust and if its a x-flow you will find it hard to get the manifold (thats what i need) as for the rest thats all standard ford escort. as for price it depends what you want, i have one out of each side with 2 dtm pipes on each side, thats about £500 but is worth it.

You can get second hand manifolds for the x flows and the pintos (cast and branch) from Ian Harwood on 0151 3392801 He is open Tuesday to Saturday and does mail order.

Regards the rest of the exhaust yes it is basically Mk 2 Escort exhaust parts with possibly a few slight mods just to get it (a) higher and (b) shorter as the Geep is not as long as the Escort.
There are companies around that say they can make up any exhaust for any vehicle.
In the Stafford area it is a company called AA Silencers. You may well have a similar company around your area (check the yellow pages and adverts in local newspapers).
Even if you do not have such a company most local exhaust places are willing to sell a variety of exhaust parts to make up a suitable system.
The "Jago" system is still available from Emsworth Car and Cycle (01243 372742) and costs around £160 for the x flow and around £170 for the OHC.
I always get either the Escort system and modify it or do a mix and match both work out cheaper (usually).
