Morning

I currently have a Lexus CT200h, which I pretty much only use to drive to and from work - 8 miles each way.
It's a great car, though thinking of selling it and picking up something a bit more fun and cheaper.

Around the ~£5-6k mark maybe, along the lines of an Alfa Romeo Mito Cloverleaf (170bhp), or an Abarth 500.
I'm also considering just getting a VW UP! Considering you can just drive it with your foot flat to the floor everywhere.
Small, frugal and fun is essentially what I'm after.

Is there anything along those lines that I am missing?
I'd prefer to have rear seats rather than a 2 seater, even if the rears are tiny.

a basic Up or even a Mini One should suit if you really want something to thrash
