Ford EML after plug change
Discussion
Evening all.
So I serviced our 2011 S Max 2.0 Ecoboost 240 this morning. Changed oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plugs.
Drove home from work after the service (About 4 miles) and drove absolutely fine. No misfire etc. Car didn’t get up to temp though, only a 6 minute drive.
Gone to nip to the supermarket tonight and the EML light is on, showing solid amber, no blinking. Fires up first touch of the button and again, no misfire.
Did abit of Googling and apparently a solid light which doesn’t go off is related to anti-pollution. Could this be linked to the new plugs? Going to see my mate tomorrow who has a code reader but I have a fair bit to do before then which needs the car but I’m abit conscious of causing some damage.
Any advice, experience or tips?
Thanks

Sorry, perhaps should have been clearer. Before the service it had no issue at all getting up to temp. Since the service I haven’t given it along enough drive to actually get up to temp yet, engine only been running less than 6 minutes just to get from work (Where I serviced it) to home.
I suspect that could be a contributor factor given it’s an anti pollution warning (I think!). Bit cautious about giving it a drive to get up to temp though with the light showing.
