992 Carrera order - colour and wheels?
Discussion
So I've finally pulled the trigger and got a 992 Carrera S on order. Yippee! Only 2 years to wait - lots of time to finesse the spec! I am still trying to work out what colour and wheels to go for, my two most likely choices are:
1) GT Silver with Carrera S wheels (Configurator code PPD1SAN8)
2) Crayon with Carrera Classic wheels (PPAFDXF5)
On my order I specified the GT Silver version, but now I'm in love with Crayon. Lots of time to change the spec though! Appreciate anyone else's views or alternative options

Crayon is a marmite colour.
A few good threads on the subject which might help you decide.

I think Crayon looks great on a GTS with all the black bits.
However, for me the GT Silver is a timeless look on the 911. If possible, I think a brown interior would look really classy.
Same with Gentian Blue, which looks fantastic clean but probably quite boring with road grime. Whereas of course silver has the knack of pretty much always looking clean.

I’d really like a new 911 in around late 2025 to coincide with retirement. I have no real idea when to place the order, as there’s no indication if the current lead in periods are going to ease or worsen.
I was taken with one on display at Silverstone PEC that looked like this

I like the more garish colours, my current 991.2 cab is Miami Blue

That looks good in yellow with the Porsche decal. Wish they still offered Miami Blue on the 992. I saw a Miami Blue 992 outside a fancy chateau winery place in France over the Summer and it looked the nuts ( https://chateau-la-coste.com/en/ recommended btw!) My son wants me to go for Python Green but I'm veering towards GT Silver as I'm so bad at keeping my cars clean. The resale angle isn't an issue for me as my 992 will be a keeper.
