ECU temp sensor

Does anybody know if the Intermotor equivalent of the Lucas SNB802 temp sensor is OK to fit? I seem to remember seeing a post that it had slightly different charateristics. Only asking becuase I seem to be struggling to get hold of the Lucas part from motor factors or indeed TVR dealers

If you go to www.intermotor.co.uk/prod_cat.asp and search for SNB802 it gives you the Intermotor part number. Not sure whether it is identical to the Lucas part though.
