Leon FR is pretty standard unless you go for a Cupra.
Most likely thieves will know about the cars they want to nick so no point.
Unless you change it back to boggo spec which will most likely mean changing body kits, wheels and badges.
Visual deterrent and proximity alarm are your best best or close/lock the gate would be the cheapest option if it's not too much of an inconvenience.

Isn't part of the attraction of a Fiesta ST that there's a market for the bodykit, wheels, seats etc due to there being plenty of lower spec Fiestas about.
The solution therefore is to go for the sport version of something that isn't as common for the dull version, eg Hyundai i20 or a Kia Proceed, or the Mazda 3 as mentioned before.

I have the same car and must admit the worry over it being stolen does spoil the ownership experience a little. They are a target unfortunately and a few fast Fords as well as BMW’s have been taken from my estate over the past few years. I use a disklok and always place keys in a faraday bag overnight which touch wood seems to have kept it safe so far.
I’m not sure if any other popular hot hatch would be any less likely to get stolen really. Something a bit under the radar like a 308 Gti might work. Ultimately though is it worth changing the car for? You’d be going from a car worth 10k or less to something double that price so you may find that your worries increase. Or you’d end up with a car you don’t really like or want just because nobody else wants one enough to steal it.
I’ll most likely keep mine for a while and see how it goes. The mk8 is always on my mind as a replacement but I think they are just as popular with thieves. I’ve also thought about something like a newer Swift Sport which is a decent car but maybe not so much of a target but I’ve yet to decide if I’d really want that kind of downgrade just to avoid the issue. Or I could go with an mx5 instead which don’t seem to get stolen much.

Alfa Guilietta QV is a cracking second hand buy, and a very underrated car. Not one that's generally targeted by thieves.

How about one of those parking space poles/barriers? If they can't drive the car out of the space then would they even bother trying to steal it?
You can get manually operated ones for less than £100, but there's semi-auto ones at around £250 and I think fully auto ones are over the £500 mark.
