Boston Logan airport lounges with BA Biz

Wotchas all, it’s return time from Boston. What lounge is best if travelling BA Biz? Is their a choice of lounges available or just what you are directed to with BA? Is the BA one there any good?

Last time through Boston which was just prior to CV19, the BA lounge was decent enough. Key advantage was the lounge was over the gate, so they called for boarding in the lounge & you bypassed the queues at the main gate, they opened a door from the lounge to the jetway

I flew business class from Boston with BA in April. The lounge experience was poor. Showers were out of action (disappointing as I’d just finished the marathon and could have done with a wash!). Decor was tired, food was below average, and the ‘old fashioned’ that I asked the lady behind the bar to prepare for me was undrinkable.

This is very harsh. Four or more years ago when the lounge was in the basement of the terminal with no natural light, it was a pretty grim experience. But since the relatively recent move and refit, it's a pretty good lounge, and extremely convenient with direct boarding.
