While currently sat on the Metropolitan Line train to Chesham, it got me thinking about how many PHers I've walked past in my life. I could be sat next to one right now and I'll never know it.

Anyone else ever considered this?

Several years ago, I was watching cricket training and chatting to a chap next to me. He seemed to be quite informed about cars. It turned out to be Square Leg.

I have spent the subsequent few years trying to avoid him.

As a rule I really don't like other people. My idea of heaven is the Wetherspoons app, the best noise cancelling headphones money can buy, and absolutely nobody requiring any kind of interraction.I'm with Sartre on this one.

But... If there's one thing my 59 years on this big rock have taught me, it's that it's always about who you know.

That's a conundrum, right there.

I’ve had many “small world” things happen to me in my 36 years - some rather amusing but to keep this on topic.

Le Mans last year, I was approached 3 times asking if I was Joe from PH owing to the stickers on my car. This has resulted in a few from PH joining us next year.

I’ve often thought it would be fun if you had to wear a badge with your PH name on it at a PH meet but then thought there may be a few punch ups hehe

Haha this is rather amusing.
21 years behind you, maybe I'll be the same by then, wouldn't rule it out.

I’ve bumped into a fellow PH’er at the edge of a field in Bedfordshire waiting for the Vulcan to come in and start it’s final public display.

You could probably recognise them, they will be the ones wearing a Fedora.

Apart from me, I'm really cool..

Actually I know there are Phers in at least 2 if not 3 villages around me. I've probably sat in the pub talking to them and never realised.

I walked past a young lad in an office once about 15-20yrs back & had PH on his screen, at the time I recall you could do a local search for “local chat” & I did & identified him by username & vehicle, however the local chat was one of those “I can’t talk to anyone, but I’ve got myself into this situation” kinda posts. So it kinda put me off saying “hey I see you post on PH”. He moved on soon after & I think got a decent amount of advice on his situation (not from me).
