Guessing the roads will be fairly quiet next Monday as a lot of people will be sat at home watching our Queen on her final journey.
So…….. who’s out for a hoon and where you going?

yes

I'll be heading back to the south coast from Manchester, so not a hoon, but should be lovely and quiet.

I do two laps of Beachy Head every day without fail, so I’ll be up there.

Yes, I’ll be riding from Cortina to Sarnonico, via the Dolomites

It may not count as it was planned months ago

Is it allowed?

I mean British Cycling we’re telling everyone not to ride their bicycles until the social media backlash prompted a rethink.

I’ll be enjoying the quiet roads on pedal power.

Even British Cycling know that their muppet members piss other people off and do stupid stuff with very little thought.
I’m sure driving/ riding/ cycling etc hasn’t been banned for the day though. Not everyone is interested in the monarchy.

I was saying this to someone this week. I'm split 50/50. I'm tempted to go for a nice drive to the East coast and a splash in the sea. However, this is a (probably for me), once in a lifetime event that I'd like to witness as it happens.

Yep. You also have to remember that one moron with access to the company Twitter account doesn't represent everyone.

I'll be out cycling and / or out on the motorbike if the weather isn't terrible.

Everything will be closed, the roads will be quiet. Sounds like a great time for a drive out! haha

I’m picking up a new toy Saturday morning (Caterham 420R). The chances of staying in all day Monday are currently running at a big fat zero.

By the sounds of things the roads will be clogged with people taking advantage of the quiet roads! I'll be out doing something, whether that's a drive/ride/run/taking the kids out.

Congrats, sounds perfect biggrin

I'll be tempted to go out in the morning early doors, but as someone said above I might watch some of it, it's certainly a unique event. Might just record it on the Sky box instead.

I'm planning an 8 hour trip starting from South Wales and up through Mid Wales on roads that are normally quiet and will hopefully be dead!

That's a thought, not somewhere I've done much driving. I love mountains, and of course the roads are often really well sighted with no sodding hedges. Any you'd recommend down in North Cornwall?
