Hi Folks,

Looking ahead to investment early next year, and wondering what people have done suspension wise with their 996.1 cars.

I've been in touch with the team at Center Gravity, and they've recommended I look into pairing the Koni Special Active dampers with the Eibach springs.

Just wondering who else here might have that, and how they've got on.

I don't currently have M030 or any other suspension 'stuff', so anyone who has followed that path too I'd be particularly interested.

Chris fitted this set up to my 996.2 only 3 weeks ago. It now sits at X74 (-30mm from factory setting) height.
We've almost finished a trip to Austria were the car has been fully loaded, and the only grounding noticed has been on steep driveways, etc. Just need to take them slowly.
Comfort is improved, car is stable at speed (touched 120mph on autobahn), body control better on bumpy roads. One slight issue Chris found which is more noticeable on crappy UK roads is that where the car runs over small dips there can be a slight noise when the front springs rebound and the top coils touch. Worth asking him if he's had any more thoughts on that.
Paul.

Really helpful reply - thank you.

Do you have a picture to show the ride height ?

Centre Gravity suggested exactly the same setup to me and I’ve been really happy with the Koni/Eibach combo over the last few thousand miles. I also fitted Eibach adjustable anti roll bars at the same time.

Definitely firm round town, but works fantastically with a bit of speed. Firm and flat when you lean on it, breathes nicely with the road when you’re cruising along. Perfect balance for a road car, for me at least.

CG recommended a second spring perch on the rear to get the height spot on:

That looks absolutely fantastic.

I'm glad you mentioned the ARBs as my view was to get that done too. What you describe is precisely what I want.

Many moons ago I had a fully polybushed S2000 (Bar mugen caster bushes) with a load of Cusco parts (ARBs, Front braces top and bottom, rear lower brace) and then Tein suspension. It was great on track, but it was, er, directly connected with every whisper on the road? As much fun as that was when 'on it' it was a bit exhausting day to day. Drain covers were especially pleasant.

Thanks for the replies folks.
