I missed it yesterday too, ITV 3 is not normally on my radar.

Good race that was with a stellar field of drivers.

The live race ,the RAC TT was awesomely good this afternoon .

Shame about Button /Newey E type transmission failure whilst leading and then the Shepherd Cobra broke too
The TVR whacking the tyres got away very lightly it seemed .
Also a shame we didn't see Pirro in the Ferrari 250 LM .

Such a good race !

There's a highlight show later on this week ,ITV4 this time I think .

I was wondering how they were going to fit 2 days of racing into 60 minutes ,minus advert time ?

Well ,they didn't .

A bit of racing ,some drivel about recycling reuse and influencers , some camels .

I should have watched Bake off ,more exciting .

What you learn from goodwood woodward. Cars moving slower are easier to follow with the tv cameras and capture the dynamics of them being barely in control.
They are tons smaller than current f1 cars so still look fast. Like GoKarts look fast.
The stupidity of F1 is it mostly looks uninteresting now due to the big cars that never step out of line unless you look at a super slow replay.

And the circuits that modern F1 cars run on (with a few exceptions) do little to show how fast they are really travelling

Thing is, doesn't seem to stop hundreds of thousands of people spending a fortune to watch it live, so why would they care!

As a live experience F 1 can still enthral. Historic racing and speed events are my thing these days , but I scratched my F 1 itch by going to Silverstone on Fri and Sat this year, my first live F1 since the V8 era . Gobsmacking - as long as you stand in the right place . Verstappen and Norris (especially) through Copse were jaw droppingly fast . On telly everything looks slow but even at a rubbish track like Silverstone , live F1 is enthralling .

But I won't be there next year- too many people , fan hysteria and absurd cost. I am already counting the days to Goodwood Members' Meeting , an almost faultless weekend , even when it snows . Cobras and Cortinas at St Mary's on a Spring day are my idea of heaven .
