So there I was cruising through London with the top down and then... a tin of paint had been dropped in the middle of the road and it was too late to avoid... So now the Elise has white paint on the drivers side rear wheel / arch :(

Anybody have any thoughts on whether this is a dealer job or a pro valet? The paint looks like cheap white house paint...

Oh yeah, the day before the head gasket went on the Nissan - the day after, I managed to break the seat on my mother in laws car...

Think I'll stay in...

Bugger,

At least you didnt get HGF on the liz, also thats your three bad ones mate which means you are now untouchable. Go out, stuff your face on puffer fish and go base jumping.

With regards to the car I reckon it sounds like its a bit beyond Chips Away. Best take her in unless you know a pro. Or, do the rest in dulux and sell on as English white?

it's quite possible that it's water based paint.

try washing it off with a mild detergent and if that doens't work get on yoru hands and knees with T cut. will take a while but it'll not be a dealer job i don't think

i've had black paint poured on my silver mx5 about a year ago and a bit of elbow grease and some T cut got it off - then a little colour magic to bring back the shine and it was fine. i recently sold it and not one person noticed!!

Normally cheap white paint is water based (as long as it's not gloss) so a bit of elbow grease should get it off.. good luck.
