172 Cup fast(ish) road
Discussion
Bought it from a forum member on ClioSport.net, completely blind
Albeit he sent me lots of pictures and a video walk around.
here’s a copy & paste from the advert giving some details on the car;
Engine:
Catcams 428
Matched Inlets
Mapped standard ECU
Ph1 Airbox
182 manifold
Ktec stealth system with sports cat
Vibra Technics engine and gearbox mounts
Powerflex dogbone mount
Grams exhaust mount insert
Suspension/Brakes:
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs
Koni Sport front shock absorbers
Pure motorsport strut top mounts and strut brace
Powerflex front wishbone bushes
HEL Braided brake lines
Brembo grooved disks DS2500 Pads
having had another 172 (non cup) in the past, this is another level entirely
plans are to carry on where the last owner left off, tidying up a few things that need sorting and enjoying the back roads down here

Did 150ish miles this weekend. Some of it with some relatively fast cars (bmw 140’s, M2, Audi s3 etc.) and the cup held its own until we got to the A roads
Only managed to get a picture with my mates 197

cup looking a little sorry for itself, needs a clean up and wheels refurbed
also needs new tyres as the back end was pretty skittish (front two tyres mismatched, rears are budgets) although the car handles so so well
Cup seats are surprisingly supportive and the lowered seat combined with the smaller 330mm wheel is perfect
Also managed pretty decent mpg, even though the revs rarely got below 5000
