dual layer DVD

Wasnt sure whether to post in here or video bit, but kinda techie so here goes....

I've been using DVD shrink to erm backup a few DVDs onto single layer DVD-R (4.7 gig think they are). These play well on my domestic DVD player. Anyone know if a dual layer disc, that obviously would not need media shrinking, would also play on the domestic?

Yeah, I think there is no problem with that as long as the DVD formating is standard.

Have a look on Afterdawn they have guides and information which could be very useful.
