Haha Macron what a grifter!

If we can’t get our way through the EU we’ll create a new entity to get our hands on UK funds.

No.FRO.

Sounds like a great idea, we'd be stupid not to attend.

Looks like......

"The new community, he told the parliament, would allow democratic nations to "find a new space" for political co-operation on security, energy, transport and the movement of people"

This looks more like trying to build support to the east rather than about the UK, and I’m not surprised when the options at the moment are “join the EU, meeting their requirements” or nothing.

Seems like a very sensible way forward against Russian interference in other countries.

It looks very much like a "waiting room" for those countries who wish to join the EU.

How can the EU have political aims, and their members in another forum have differing aims?

Seems like EU by stealth.

It will be ok as the UK has no track record of joining some big club without asking permission from the voters.

Pretty much the problem with the EU in the first place, and it's a British cultural one: All the others nod at the appropriate times then ignore what doesn't suit and keep doing their own thing.

We seemed to bend over backwards to interpret and apply EU guidance and direction in the most disadvantageous manner possible, with a sprinkling of additional bureaucracy and self imposed legal wrangling.

Unfortunately I dont see that changing in the short term, whichever club we're in.
