Which Sat Nav ? Garmin 2610 maybe ? Help !!!

[gtrclive]

I'm doing a tour of the West Coast of the US, and have thought that it's about time to buy a Portable Sat Nav system...

These Garmin systems seem to have a base map that cannot be removed or changed, so if I buy a UK/Europe system then can I upload a usfull USA Map ????
Or do I have to buy a US version ?

I can get a US version o Ebay no problem, but will that then be of no use over here ?

Help????

Ps I was looking at a 2610 or 2620 Model......
