BMW service gaps...
Discussion
Hi,
I'm not sure if it's common, or I seem to like cars with the spec etc I'm looking for, but they all seem to have some concern with the service intervals.
Here's one I just made an enquiry about today....(BMW m235i f22)

As you can see, the gap between the last 2 services is around 21k. It's currently mileage is 35k.

Is the service internal not mileage OR two years, in which case I’d be giving that car a miss.
Yes it is It should also have had at least three brake fluid changes ( 3 years 5 years 7 years ) and without expanding the service records you can’t see what has/hasn’t been done
The visit showing in 2018 “could” just be a brake fluid change and not a service and it may have had an interim service at a non BMW garage that can’t update the idrive
Assuming it’s a 2015 car then three services “could” be ok ( 2017, 2019, 2021 ) ie 2 year intervals but I’d expect to see visits for brake fluid on top
I think ( off the top of my head ) my 2015 BMW is showing 8 service visits on the idrive with another due in 3000 miles
