ipod speakers..............

thinking about getting an ipod.
what speakers have you used with one and your reccommendations please.

One of the lads at work has got the Altec Lansing InMotion Speakers which we have on throughout the day, Sounds very good IMO and music fills the office comfortably - puts the speakers on the Apple G4's in the office to shame. Good range and good bass



Would like to hear the Bose and JBL versions tho, just to compare (although slightly more expensive ):

A mate has the bose one and its

Sounds just like a bose waveradio; great bass and excellent sounds all round.

I went for the logic3 soundstation, which was highly recommended to me by the local apple centre, and after trying it, it certainly had a much better sound quality than the altec one i was going to buy at double the price! the logic3 is available from a few places (including most comet stores) at about £50 compared to the altec unit at about £100, which doesnt have a sub, so the sound can be a tad flat.

I've gone and done it,
60Gb iPod & The Bose sound dock.
Listened to it in the shop "WICKED"
just got to get it all sorted so I can hear it at home.
I've unpacked it and it states USB2 connection,
hope it works with original USB or upgrade to P.C. needed.

Just got some JBL creature 2's in black for 50 quid, sound brilliant - just not portable.

Not sure of the name so probably already mentioned (Harmonn Kardon I think) but the see through dome with the two see through sticks are amazing.

In the home mine runs through a Yamaha 6.1 surround sound home theatre system with Mission cimema 6 speakers , fecking loud if you want it to be and the mission sub shakes the house , cost ? a £1.99 3.5mm jack to rac lead

I did need to upgrade to USB2,
The sound from the Bose speaker is astounding, given its size. It really can fill the room with decent sound
It's cost me close to £600 but well worth it
