I figure there must be enough of us in the same boat looking for tyres etc that we could stick a thread up with details of what tyres you bought, from where and for how much?

I'm currently looking for a set of Yokohama Neova LTS for my Elise. Best price I can find thus far is £75 ea for a front and £125 ea for a rear i.e £400 the set from Brooke-Kensington. Anyone do any better?

DJ111S - Try Micheldever Tyres in Micheldever, near Andover in Hampshire - cheapest place for tyres in South / South East - not sure if that's local for you.

Got new boots for my V8 Esprit there...all you see is a big queue of sports cars there!

The Big question is what is the best tyre to buy for the Elise. I have tried to get the tyres as specified in the hand book, but seem you have to go to the main dealer for these!!!! and guest what..... there not cheap!!! Has anyone got any ideas.

Easy if it's an S1 - Yokohama Advan Neova LTS

Designed specifically for the S1 Elise. £ for £, the best you can buy for variety of use (i.e. road & track).

S2 Bridgestones seem to be tricky to get hold of at the mo. Initial enquires on rear tyres revealed that only a main dealer had them in stock, at a whopping £200. As for the independents, the ones I tried have at least 6 weeks' wait.

Ironic when you consider the sh*t Michelin have taken after the US GP - I'd rather miss 90 minutes of entertainment than 6 weeks worth of driving...

I have Yoko AVS on my Elise, seem to work very well although I have not driven a car shod with Neova's.

They work out at £258 inc VAT and Delivery from mytyres.co.uk (That is for 205 rears)

Been chasing prices this morning for a new set of tyres. B&C quoted me £361 + VAT + Fitting.

I then called Pro-tyres in Slough and they are getting me some BF Goodrich G-Force Profilers for £314 all in... down side is the rears are on back order so no idea how long I will be waiting

Stuart, just a word of caution, make sure the are ordering the correct BFGs, there is another tyre extremely similar name that, is Cr*p in comaparison and a lot cheaper.
Having said that the price seems good for the G-Forces and not so low that they are the others, but you never can tell
