I've searched for 'Ratesetter' on the forum but very little has come up, so I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/comments on Ratesetter as a loan company?

I've been looking around at options via High Street banks for loans and Metrobank seem to use Ratesetter (which I think they said is some sort of subsidiary of themselves??) but I'm wary of what might be external companies' services being sold for large commission.

So, are Ratesetter any good as a loan company??

TrustPilot has them at 4.8 stars but I'm aware that reviews on there might be... er... 'curated'...

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ratesetter.com

They were offering 4.9% on a chunky five-figure loan, but I resent giving away all my personal info so haven't looked at other options, such as that MoneySavingExpert service that gathers all your info and offers suggestions (https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/eligibility/loans-calculator/search/ ), and therefore am not sure if that's a decent rate in the current economic climate...

Any thoughts would be gratefully received, thank you!

I took out a loan at the same APR with them in November last year.

No issues and the website is easy to use and informative (outstanding balance etc). Recommended.
