just wondering how you guys go about finding the source of the more annoying rattles.

i have one that i just can't seem to ignore. above 60mph it sounds like there's a piece of plastic flapping about in the wind, high pitched and 'crinkly' but faint.

i usually just drive along and press panels to see what is vibrating, but i can't even work out the source of this one. is there a more technical method?

Not really no, it's often a bugger to find them. I've got two very annoying ones at the moment, both of which seem to be coming from inside the dashboard.

The annoying thing for me is the thought that taking panels off to chase it means potentially causing more rattles when trying to refit everything properly or as well as before.

I honestly stopped caring about 2 years in.
Which bit me in the arse when a new ‘jingling’ in the door was a bolt working free that jammed the window in the down position.
