My wipers got a first full test in the rain today on the way back from checking out the Lockeed SR-71 Blackbird at Duxford (which is stunning, and apparently a bit faster than my Noble!!) ;)

The wipers judder like fcuk!! I even had a fresh coat of rain x on there. Both wiper judder around on the up and lots on the down, especially the passenger one!!

I just watched a vid of Joust in the rain at V max and the wipers seem to cope fine.

Can you reccomend some different blades or adjustments that might stop it please.

Thanks

Greg

First just try new blades. Judder is often caused by worn blades IME.

Rain-X won't really help the problem I'm afraid - otherwise you'll need to adjust the tension of the blade on the screen which is a bit more complicated.

Pop down to Halfords and get the Bosch ones if they have them.

UPDATE

New Bosch wipers are superb. No judder anymore and a super clear screen!!

For the record you need a 19" and a 20" blade. About £8 each at Halfords

Thanks J.

Juddering wipers is usually due to them not sitting perpendicular to the screen (and no I don't mean pointing at the sky )

Vegantune sorted mine out nicely...

Rob, now we have both had to fish through a sweaty wheelie bin this week!! Yuk.

They are Bosch Super plus quick clip full units.

Can't see any codes on the box, sorry.

One just says 20 on it, the other 19. Meaning the length in inches.

They swop over really eaisly. Did not even need to lift the front clam.

About £8.50 each in Halfords.

(shame you can't buy a twin pack as they are different lengths.

If you've got rainex on you are not supposed to use the wipers.

In my exepience RainX is best considered supplemetrary - at many speeds and rain flow it won't clear the sreeen at all so the wipers are also required.
