Which Digitals inspire or interest you?

On another thread, there have been quite a few Digitals that have piqued my interest. On top of that, I am currently wearing a Casio F91w that my young’un bought me for Christmas.
I’ve never really been that into Digitals in the past, but I feel my interest growing. Anyway, I thought it would be nice to start a thread where people could post pictures and/or stories of digital watches that interest them in some way.
So, there are no rules, no price limits either high or low and no need for any oneupmanship. If it’s digital and interesting, please post. Details, facts and anecdotes all encouraged

When I was a child in the 80's Casio game watches were amazing to me. A lad in my class had a football one and it was a treat when he let me 'have a go'. I assume it was this one from a brief online search.
Then another chap across the street got a Casio Databank watch which could store phone numbers. I think it was his dad's as it seemed a bit grown up for him but nevertheless, I thought this was the nuts.
I had a few digital watches designed for kids but remember getting one of these in my mid-teens and loving it. I really wanted the black one but for whatever reason only the (fake) metal was available and I didn't want to wait for the black to be restocked. Eventually one of the lugs broke but I kept it for a long time in the little pocket of my jeans as the databank function was really useful in the pre-mobile phone days.
From the mid 90's until fairly recently I didn't have a digital watch but I picked up my first G-Shock earlier this year and think it's great.

I also remember my local jeweller/watch shop having a watch with a tiny keyboard the watch could clip into. I think it was Seiko or maybe Citizen. I recall that it was really expensive (to a child like me) and I just stared at it in the window. I might as well have been looking at the space shuttle, it was so futuristic to me.

The Casio watch that you could control TV's with.
I remember a kid in school had one and when we'd have to watch boring films/documentaries in class he would switch the TV off or change the channel.
Everyone knew what was going on apart from the teacher and he'd get the caretaker in to sort it who didn't have a clue either.
So they'd give up and we got out of watching it.
It was hilarious, well back when when we were little anyway.

As a daily I love my Fenix, I’m on a 7 now, prior to that I’ve had the two previous generations.
I’d never go back to a conventional watch, but do break out my Breitling for special occasions.
I remember hearing a Casio at school playing the Yellow Rose of Texas and being utterly stunned at how amazing it was.
They soon got banned from morning assembly.

This is my favourite digital watch, I have a few.
Two facts about it, it marks and scratches like nothing i have ever seen before. To the point where i used to have two of them, one to wear and this one for best.
Second fact is the manual states the time taken from pressing the button to stopping the timer. Off memory this is 0.0026 seconds but may be wrong on this.

Which lets face it does pretty much everything the Tag does at about £20. It even looks stunning in my eyes.
I'm a fan of G-Shocks personally for digital watches, I have three of them.
My current daily is the G-Shock x Bamford collaboration.
They arenideal for work as I need the accuracy and I don't worry about damaging them.
I have a beautiful Omega Seamaster but I still like my G shock daily.

Fenix 6 Pro Solar as a daily for me, too. Really pleased with it and enough 'smart' to be useful but without needing to be charged every night.I’d never go back to a conventional watch, but do break out my Breitling for special occasions.

When I was a nipper in the early 80s, my old man used to read Practical Electronics and the like. There would always be a full page advert (in black and white) for these types of watches. I'd spend hours poring over them and deciding which one I wanted. They absolutely fascinated me when I was about 12 or 13 or so.
I'm sure I had one of these:
It had a game, whereby numbers scrolled across the screen and you had to "destroy" the number at the head of the queue by matching it to another number you could increase or decrease using the buttons on either side of the keyboard. When they numbers matched, you'd press one of the side buttons and it was remove it from the queue.
When the queue got to the end, that was game over. I must have played that game for hours and hours. I suspect it (along with another one I had) is still sitting in a drawer at my parents house somewhere).

I love a good digital, particularly since they are the antithesis of the H-neck school of watch appreciation.
Back around 2003, when I was new to ebay, you could pick up old seiko LCDs for around 20-30 quid, even some the good ones. Sorry to say, I treated a lot of them like cheap consumables and they've fallen into disrepair.
But I did also find some original LEDs, like genuine NOS, for very little money.

I haven't seen one in person and they look like they sit very tall on the wrist. I don't think I'd buy one online but if I saw one in a shop, I'd definitely take a closer look.
