Le Mans Classic 2023 - register your interest now

Join us next year to see the best endurance racers from the last century

We’d normally be feeling a bit despondent faced with a two-year wait for Le Mans Classic. However, we’re in for an absolute treat in 2023 as the traditionally biannual event will be making an early re-appearance to celebrate 100 years of Le Mans.

The Classic has only been running since 2002, yet it’s already a firm favourite on our calendar, attracting more than 700 race cars and almost 200,000 spectators in 2022. The 11th running on 29th June – 3rd July 2023 is set to be a spectacular one, as we’ll head to the Circuit de la Sarthe once more to witness the very best classic car racing.

One of the highlights of the event is the up-close access you get to the cars in the paddocks, that you could only dream of at modern race events. What’s more, we’ll have parking inside the circuit and eligible vehicles can book parade laps of the full Le Mans circuit.

We'll be heading back to celebrate with our longstanding partner, 1st Tickets. Our private campsite is located at the heart of the Bleu Nord campsite, just a few minutes’ walk from the main circuit, where you’ll join 400+ PHers for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Our regulars will agree that our campsite is the best place to stay in Le Mans, and with this list of perks it's easy to see why:

  • Located at the heart of the Bleu Nord campsite, just a few minutes walk from the main circuit entrance
  • Pre-allocated camping pitches mean there's no rush, your space will be set out for you whenever you arrive
  • Cooked meals included (3x full English breakfast and 3x evening meals)
  • Fenced perimeter for your peace of mind
  • On-site security, including night patrols at the weekend, to protect your car and belongings
  • Private toilets and warm showers, so no long queues for the facilities
  • Large marquee with a cash bar - a social hub for all campers whatever the weather, with live TV coverage of the race so you don't miss any of the action
  • Free Wi-Fi access

Your package will include general admission to the race and channel crossing (standard up to five-day return), with options to add on pre-erected tents, grandstand seating and parade laps.

It’s going to be a bumper year and we’re already experiencing extremely high demand, so register your interest here so that you’re the first to hear when packages go on sale. See you there!

Although the event is in France and motorsport rules are slightly different as well given its the ACO, I'd doubt dogs are allowed within the perimeter of the circuit - In the 8 or so years ive been to the 24hrs, I'm pretty sure I've not seen a pooch with a spectator.

I'm definitely going next year.

Can anyone explain the difference of going with PH Vs just 1st Tickets at Blue Nord?

I'm assuming there is a dedicated PH section of Blue Nord, and maybe some free stickers? Anything more?

...that's probably enough to be honest!

Hi, I've been to LM since 2013 so I'm a relative newbie still & 2022 was my first Classic trip (all with 1st Tickets). 1st Tickets are an ACO approved agent and can sell you pitches on either public camping areas such as Bleu Nord, or they have their own private campsite at Bleu Nord which has a security fence/guards, private showers etc. & a large marquee where there is a bar area, seating and you can (if you wish) having cooked breakfast & evening meals (they even offer pre-erected tents if you are lazy like me) and free wi-fi.

If you camp on the general section of Bleu Nord, you fend for yourself but at a lower cost and with bigger queues for the wash facilities plus the need to take your own bog roll hehe

1st Tickets can even organise your crossing from the UK & entry/grandstand tickets if you want them to....oh & if you are inclined, they can also organise a parade lap pass (not cheap but you get to drive the full race circuit for about 20 minutes as I did this year - see the thread Le Mans Parade laps for what it is like wink ).

Thanks for that, all sounds great to me.

Private showers, meals, no queues etc I'm definitely interested in!

I'm happy to go for 1st Tickets private Blue Nord site, or PH Private Site again via 1st Tickets.

It's just the difference between those two options I'm confused on!

I did 1st tickets last year, and will be doing it again. If I were in my 20s or 30s, I'd probably try to "do it on the cheap", but those days have gone. 1st tickets for me.

Yes, I've seen a few dogs at the 24 over the years, I've always thought it an unusual place to take your pet given the crowds, dust, etc but why not? The ACOs rules allow all dogs except Category 1, which I think relates to Staffies. You can find more info out on the FAQ / Security section of the ACOs website.

Thanks, 1st Tickets have promptly replied to an email I sent. They included this link...

https://www.angloinfo.com/how-to/france/family/pet...

They also said that dogs are allowed on the campsite, but must always be on a lead and under control. I assume they can be free inside the tent, or in the back of the jallopy smile .

Sorry for the delay on this, but the 1st Tickets private site and PH private site are the same thing, if I'm reading your question correctly. Thanks to MrC986 for the other context as always. Hopefully see you there next year thumbup

I believe the pitch includes a space for one car, certainly the ones sold through the ACO website do (my partner and I are in Bleu Nord too)

Each pitch at Bleu Nord is 35m2 and is for 1 car plus occupants and as many tents as you can cram in! Separate parking unnecessary.

While costs aren't yet confirmed for next year, you can build a package based on this year's pricing to get an idea here https://1st-tickets.co.uk/event/ph-le-mans-classic...
