stupid question - suspension files

I bought myself a new corner desk with filing cabinet from Argos.
300 screws later and i have built a rather good, sturdy desk. I didn't realise that their stuff was ok ( for things like this).
Anyway, The instructions said it uses A4 suspension files so i bought 20.
They fit nice and snug except for the overlapping running bits. Can i work out how to bend these tab things?, Can i Bu&&er!.
Give me a screwdriver and i can fill half my bedroom with furniture but i can't do these suspension files:hehe:

A4 suspension files are narrower than standard ones.

Sounds as though you have the standard ones.

nope, says A4 on the box.
