Silverstone LMES tuscan yesterday

Heres some pics of the Tuscan speed sixes yesterday at silverstone (and a porker showing the weather conditions...) Thanks to Peninsula's Fiona and Marcus Fields Raynor for arranging a tour of the garages, meeting the crew etc.

As you can tell it was very rainy, the peninsula tuscan pitted after the first lap to change tyres from intermediates to full wets. Just as well cos the heavens opened almost as soon as the cars came out of the garages. The start was amazing with capacity crowds on the pit straight grandstands even though the weather was crap

The start was an awesome sight indeed - but F**k was it wet and cold - I haven't worn so many layers since January!
And why oh why do I always forget to take my waterproof trousers to Silverstone - I always need them - even if it is just to keep the wind out!
Tremendous sight all those snarly monsters in the dark.

I think the Safety Car did enough laps to deserve an honourary podium spot It was a tad soggy out there!

We managed to fire up a BBQ jut after it stopped raining (about 7 ish - bit pished by then) and were soon joined by Mr and Mrs BlueCerbera who were wondering by. Good job we took loads of food. It was great watching the cars in the dark although fook knows which was which.
And it was very very wet. My guess is the safety car was out at least 2.5 hours.
The GT race yesterday was great though - a few showers and lots of wrong choice tyres making for a great last lap.
