I think I agreed an online, no human advice, 5 year fixed rate mortgage in August 2022. My major player tells me today (I've just noticed) that way back in August I clicked variable rate. I have a masters in A&F but that doesn't mean I don't make mistooks.

How do I find out what a major mortgage player was offering on a specific date in August 2022 please?

Did you get a decision in principle?

The products available can change pretty much very day and I doubt they keep a record of the changes, so I reckon you'd need a confirmation email of some sort.

Was it HSBC?

You can find the rates provided to intermediaries here:
https://intermediaries.hsbc.co.uk/ratesheet/202208...

Change the URL from 20220801 to another August date - you may be trying up to 30 times as they only issue these on certain dates.

You may find similar for other companies if you search on Google using:
filetype:pdf intermediaries mortgage rates august 2022

I guess you didn't think to check the paperwork....?
