Only of interest to some but there is a v12 backbox on ebay currently (no affiliation)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325363534232?hash=item4...

It will go on a v8 without an oil cooler (sportshift and later cars). its possible to fit it to a oil cooler car but required modification

Saves a very significant chunk of weight, retains the valves and adds a chunk of volume if your after it.

Thought is my be of interest to a tiny minority of this subforum

Thanks- do you know why the V12 box is so much lighter than the V8 one (despite being physically bigger?!)? What modifications did you need to make to it to make it fit? Was there anything difficult that you needed to do internally?

Love your clubsport thread btw.

The v12 box is about half the size of the v8 box. It looks larger as the pipe sections on both sides are longer.

Fitting it to a manual car with a gearbox cooler requies the backbox to be cut narrower to allow clearancw of the cooler or moving or removibg tue cooler (i think tue 4.7 doea not have one and neituer does the sport shift.) i chose to retain it so shrank the box and welded it. Otherwise, its a direct fit
