Anyone aware of this: https://www.gov.uk/eye-conditions-and-driving

Apparently it's about to be revoked, which is a good job as most people will have a cupped optic disc and possibly some of the others.

The bus/coach/lorry one is even better. Basically if you have an eye you need to inform the DVLA.

I work in the ophthalmic industry but have not seen that before. It definitely needs revising!

I knew of that list as I have had detached retinas in both eyes (fortunately fixed) and subsequently cataracts (also fixed) and have to declare. Didn’t look too closely at all the other eligible diseases but some interesting ones on there!

I had a small retina tear in my eye which although fixed with laser surgery, my eyesight was not the best for a few weeks afterwards (floaters etc) in September. (I was advised not to drive for 24 hours afterwards because of pupil dilation due to the drops they put in)

I note that retina damage need only to be reported if in BOTH eyes. scratchchin
