Any one using Motec M8 and logger ?
Discussion
Just finished pricing my little project, one thing that did come to mind was a decent Engine management and EFI system, I have contacted my Friend at Motec UK (Fraser) and he has pointed me to the M8 and Data logging digital dash unit. The big advantage with this system is the option to use Forced induction and N2O with no problems afterwards as it is integrated and programable from a laptop.
I noticed a few of you (James mainly) race these cars regularly, do you still use Carbs or are you on EFI systems ? I know Motec aint cheap, but hell...none of this stuff is cheap. The extra wiring aint a problem (got that covered already)Raychem type 44 cabling, and submersable pumps are also no problem..
What are your recomendations. ??
BTW, if any of you are in the Northamptonshire area and are going to be racing...gimme a call. I am your freindly Automotive electrical design engineer

The M8 Has Twin lamba input plus alot more standard features over the M48. If you speak to Farsier again mention Clive to him he's a good pal of mine.
I'm going to run a M48 in my next car starting of with a carb, and just using it to map the Ignition, and traction Control etc. When I can afford it then going with a Kinsler FI system.
